The Big Chill

Winter has hit New Zealand, snow in both islands and more than enough rain to break the drought. Time to escape to New Caledonia, where every day is 24 or 25 degrees, with a low of 20.
It is hard to imagine getting into those summer clothes, donning mask and snorkel and slapping on the sunscreen again. I am sure it will come easily enough once we step off the plane in Noumea on Tuesday morning.
